Heinz Erbach, a farmer, starts production of modern stall and stable fittings.

The ERO Leaf Cutter - the first machine for use in vine cultivation – is added to the product range. This was invented by Herbert Roth, the founder’s brother-in-law, while he was in Vienna training to become a winegrower. This was the first leaf trimmer on the market which used the principle of free cutting by rotating knives.

The company moves into a new, modern building.

Application for a patent on the ERO Shoot Binder, also invented by Herbert Roth.

The individual enterprise is converted into a GmbH, and the building occupied only five years earlier is extended by adding a second production shop. The ERO Shoot Binder, now patented, is introduced to the market. This was the first mechanical shoot binder worldwide.

Extension of the production area by adding a third building, and the addition of a new office for the, now eight, employees in the design department.

ERO-Gerätebau GmbH is the first company to present a grape harvester with built-in de-stemmer. The company extends its production area to almost 6,000 square metres.

The ERO Grapeliner, the latest model of ERO grape harvester, is launched on the market.

ERO and Westfalia Separator begin development of a grape harvester with integral decanter. With this machine, the grapes can be pressed during harvesting.

ERO-Gerätebau GmbH takes over the business of Binger Seilzug GmbH. Together ERO-Gerätebau GmbH and Binger Seilzug GmbH & Co. KG have more than 100 employees and a turnover of more than 16 million €.

ERO-Gerätebau GmbH is awarded the Intervitis Innovation Prize in Silver for the Quick Steer steering system.

Extension of the production area to about 7,000 square metres.

ERO-Gerätebau GmbH is numbered among the “Top 100” most innovative medium-size German companies. The award was presented on 26th. June by Lothar Späth, former Premier of Baden-Württemberg.
